Stock Market: Charging Bull Stapler and Bear Staple Remover
Saturday, October 18th, 2008 |Tags: Bear Staple Remover, Charging Bull Stapler, desk accessories, jac zagoory, Stock Market

When you hear people talking about the bulls and bears and you think they are discussing a wildlife reserve instead of the stock market, we know how out of touch you are with the market situation. So the idea of a bull sitting atop your desk would not get your pulse racing.
The Charging Bull Stapler has been designed by artist and metal sculptor Jac Zagoory and is a beautiful replica of a fiery bull ready to charge at someone in fury. But the only things this bull will show its anger on are your papers. The stapler is cast in pewter and will gnaw up a humongous hole in your wallet at the price of $165. If this feels too destructive to you, you can always opt to bring in some balance by adding to your desktop collection the Bear Staple Remover. The remover imitates a bear’s head with its jaws wide open. This pewter cast animal will cost you $75.

Thursday, September 11th, 2008 |Tags: Accessories, Compushade, laptop, Laptop Visor

Here is how you could check out those girlie or hunkish pictures right in the middle of a restaurant or in a cafe and pretend you are working at something that is akin to rocket science. Compushade Laptop Visor will help you shield you laptop from 3 ways and mask your screen. It also allows you to see well in broad daylight and also in very brightly lit rooms. The accessory not only allows you to protect your privacy but also allows better clarity and vision.
The visor can be easily attached with the included adhesive-backed hook and loop fastener strips. You could use them with notebooks that measure 8 3/4″ - 16 1/4″ and it also folds flat on the back of your laptop. Swan in a mouse in a Crystal
Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 |Tags: crystal, Gadgets, Luxury, Mouse, swarovski

Most of the women feel that new gadgets are designed keeping in mind the taste of men and thus women have no alternative but to get used to it. How often have you seen, lets say, a computer designed keeping in mind the aesthetic styling of a woman? You have to race your brain really hard to find that one or two example.
This is the reason I appreciate the efforts put in by Jeremy Doherty, imon Doherty and Dareen Doherty from new Zealand. The trio have come up with a Swarovski mouse specially designed for trendy women. No wonder that the design has won rank one in a competition organised by Designboom. The designers say that that they have given a daily use item a “sensual, feminine formâ€.
The shape of the mouse itself is a pun on the Swarovski logo. Shaed as a swan, the neck of the mouse carries a sparkling crystal that can be used as a toggle button. The mouse is wireless, so the swan looks more like a show piece, without any wires protruding out of it. The design comes with a Swarovski logo at the base of the swan. Truly, a swan to fly on to your dream land!

Brain Lamp For An Eerie But Soft Light
Saturday, August 30th, 2008 |Tags: Brain, Brain Lamp, Home Décor, Lamps, Lervik Design

We have always wondered about the brain, and it still remains a mystery. Scientists have explored, experimented and dissected so much but there still remain a number of unsolved mysteries about this organ. While the scientists are still busy researching on the brain, the guys at the Lervik Design have created a cool Brain Lamp, which also is an accurate 3D modeling of the artist’s brain. He obtained the shape and image thanks to the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and used a 3D printer to create this awesome lamp.
You could use this lamp to decorate your bedroom and at night would look almost surreal. Though a little macabre, I’m sure you would love the soft light emitted through the artist’s real brain model. Now I’m sure you must be wondering if the designer has created lamps based on any other body parts. Well, for now, it is just the Brain Lamp. The pricing details are not known but we bet something like this must be priceless.

Carlo Rossi’s JugSimple Collection Wows Wine Lovers
Saturday, August 30th, 2008 |Tags: Carlo Rossi, Furniture, Home Décor, JugSimple Collection, Wine

Wine must be the oldest beverage known to man. The oldest sample of wine was a 7000-year-old vintage from Shiraz, Iran. The fetish for wine has only grown in these thousands of years. We drink wine, use wine to cook, gift and what not! If you were a high-end wine connoisseur, you would love to stash your house with wines imported from France, Spain and Portugal. Now, the fetish for wine drinking goes a step further and we introduce Carlo Rossi’s JugSimple Collection.
You might wonder if you really could sit on this Cabernet Couch, which seems to be supported by wine jugs. Well, you actually can. If you want to take this wine fetish a step further, you could also get yourself the Chardonnay Chandelier, Paisano Plasma TV Stand, Sangria Sound System, Burgundy Bookshelf, and Rhine Reading Lamp. However, it is not known how much these exquisite designs cost, but we are sure they will leave your pockets dry.

The Rim, A Timepiece That Makes You Learn Reading Time All Over Again
Thursday, August 28th, 2008 |Tags: Clock, Jansen Lye, The Rim, Timepiece, Unique Design

We all crave for a change in life and the change naturally comes with time. Now how would you like a timepiece that is a change from the usual, a creative piece of art that is different you will have to relearn how to read time? Designer Jansen Lye has designed The Rim, a clock that is so unique you would find it difficult to comprehend. The product is very simple and minimalist, but the concept of the clock is what is intriguing.
This unique timepiece has its hour and minute hands outside the clock rather than inside like the rest of them. This distinct feature of the clock makes the minimalism of its structure seem ironic. You could use this in your office, bedroom or anywhere else. You may however require a little practice and relearning in order to read the time efficiently. The Rim thus presents an almost dream-like design and a really sophisticated and elegant look.

Cybertek Wings: Your Ticket to be Cyber-Catwoman
Sunday, August 17th, 2008 |Tags: air pressure, battery, carbon fibre, Catwoman, Cybertek Wings, Eco-friendly, extrude aluminum, Halloween, LED

In a couple months, you are going to be bombarded with invitations for Halloween parties and you will find yourself pausing over your breakfast wondering what or who to dress up as. Catwoman is out of style and only the lamest would think of dressing as an angel. But perhaps if you could mix the looks, you just might come up with something sexy and awe-inspiring. The Cybertek Wings will give your costume the much needed zing that is missing in the traditional Mummy look and you can be Cyber-Catwoman with just (ahem) $1000.
The Cybertek Wings are made of carbon fibre and extrude aluminum. Each wing contains six long ‘feathers’ that end in glowing tips. The wings are quite eco-friendly and will not mar your look by forcing you to carry a huge battery for power because the wings rely on, what else, air pressure for power. Expanding and retracting the wings seven times will power the LEDs that would light the wing tips for 5-10 minutes. The preferred colour for the wingtip can also be set. So when you feel the glow around you dim, just flap your wings to brighten up the room.
