A few years back, reading Marmon Silko’s Storyteller gave me an idea as to how Inuit American live in beautifully made fairy tale like Igloos. And then, after seeing numerous shows on Discovery on how the teams of explorers have to live in Igloos for research, I developed a special bond with the Igloo or Snowhouse. It is said that Inuit have eleven words in their language to differentiate different type of snow, a distinction that you must know if you have to construct an Igloo.
So, when I read about the artificial Igloo created by Icewall, it was a reaction of mixed feelings. As much as I cry the loss of the real Igloo, I understand that this new one is a great technological advancement.

The Igloo Satellite Cabin as it is called have been in use for a long time because of its unique features. The best feature is that it is not just suitable for polar regions but also tropical areas. And one need not reconstruct the Igloo as it can be transferred by helicopter from one place to another. They are ideally used for exploration and research, but travel companies are vying after it, realising the great potential it has for eco-tourism.
The Igloo Satellite Cabin Is made up of fibreglass and polyurethane insulation that has allows it to withstand extreme weather conditions. More than one Igloo can be inter connected to each other by way of tunnels to fit an entire team of people. And, they are available in an array of colors to suit your fancy.

Here is a concept car that is designed for an urban user and also a single user. The Peugeot EGO is a lean vehicle, which has been specially designed to tackle the traffic and carry only one passenger. The weight is just one fourth of a sedan and is practically very light and manageable.

It also has only two wheels, as four aren’t enough for just one person. It is also the safest two-wheeled transport as it is closed and does not leave you vulnerable to any danger. It has a flexible windshield and a head-up-display and steering is perfor9med independently. The EGO is so agile that it has no match whatsoever.

The driver needs to use a joystick to pedal and not a boring old steering wheel or a pedal. This unique two-wheel car concept will surely catch a number of people’s attention. Moreover, it is practical, green and user friendly and is just right for a single passenger in an urban setting.

Here is a design, which aims to take digital technology to a greater level, a level that we still have not heard of. This sleek and chic folder comes with detachable processing unit and also a textbook feature, which allows you to read books or not down in minutes.

It has double-sided transparent flexible screens too, to add to the chicness. The design consists of 3 expandable, foldable, and flexible screens and they come with an extra wide central view which helps you read your notes or books in a better way. There also are multi touch screens, which have touch-evoked keyboards which can be resized according to your wish.

If interaction is what you are looking at, it comes with 3D projection module and a web cam and conference facili8ty. The green product is shock proof so it wouldn’t hurt to drop it once or twice. It is Bluetooth enabled and is designed ergonomically. This has to be one of the coolest folder designs ever.

Ferrari Motorcycle

Ferraris are the ruling monsters when it comes to super speedy cars. Nothing can compete with them, and Ferrari lovers are just waiting for them to join the world of motorcycle designing so they can conquer that world with a twist of their drawing boards. Perhaps Ferrari fans need not wait much longer, because one of their own has already come up with designs of what he believes a Ferrari motorcycle should look like.

Amir Glinik submits his own designs of the Ferrari motorcycle and it definitely looks like a mean monster, sure to overshadow any other bike on the road. Ferraris have extremely Italian designs, are aerodynamic and sleekly stylish and Glinik’s design of the bike incorporates all of these important points. His bike also follows along the line of a V4 based upon the engine of a Ferrari Enzo and thus uses DbW technology.

Glinik’s design also has several high-tech gadget attachments, reminiscent of Ferrari cars. Apart from he traditional Ferrari red, Glinik has also designed a yellow version. If Ferrari is going to enter into a new field, it might just as well incorporate more colors into its designs.

SAFE Security measures Ensure a Safe Home

The evolution of home security has been fraught with bad decisions, amusing gadgets and amazing technology. From the age of Spike-styled bulldogs that becoming lovable puppies the moment a ball is thrown at them, we have come to a time where people rarely depend upon live subjects for their protection. An old night guard may still be seen snoring away at the gates but everyone knows that your house and everything inside is protected by the most recent technological security measures.
Strategically Armoured and Fortified Environments (SAFE) has been in the business of serving and protecting for almost 40 years and apart from the fact that just the name of the company is enough to make us feel ‘safe’, they are doing a great job in the field. SAFE’s security measures are based on the principle of isolation where a safe room is created within the household, probably in the master bedroom. The room becomes inaccessible from the outside, built from ballistic Swedish steel, Italian craftsmanship and surveillance and detection equipment from Israel.

As the best security measure available to the public, anyone trying to enter a SAFE fortress should remain warned that once inside they may be locked up forever, bound by the protective chains.
