Bicycles being one of the oldest modes of transport and are still being used frequently by people all over the world. Apart from being ecofriendly, they have other advantages like giving good exercise and cycling is a widely encouraged sport. Like all other things in the world, bikes are one of the most common commodities that are stolen. According to the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions, 1997, reported that in the last 3years, 17% cyclists have had their bikes stolen; of which 24% have quit cycling, and 66% have decreased its use.

There are a plenty of cycle locks available in the market but they have in more than one ways failed to decrease the incidence of bike thefts. A new lock which stands apart from all the others is being introduced by Michael Lambourn which helps in nabbing bike thieves in many ways. Smart Lock is clever, user friendly and light in weight. It lets the user lock both the wheels along with the frame. When the cycle is broken, it helps in identifying the bike and also helps in catching the thief.

The DC Mountain Lab in Park City, Utah, seems to have a no holds barred policy about who traverses their snow slopes. This private snowboard park is designed to offer snowboarders with the best boarding experience with split-slopes and railing fitted around the place. And now it invites racing cars to caress its slopes.

The snow park is owned and operated by DC Shoes and has become a platform for showcasing the talents of passionate followers of the snowboarding sport. Old tricks are practiced to perfection and new tricks are invented to wow the masses and each other. The sport is pushed beyond extreme by having a Subaru racing car perform trips besides the snowboarders. Don’t miss the video; it shows a plethora of cool tricks and will make your jaws drop with the spins, slides, flips, etc etc. the best by far appears to be when the snowboarders skid right over the top of the Subaru. Breath-halting!

Designed by Arthur Rottier and Peter Jongman for Dutch architectural company KAW, the Woonbox is a complete house within a space-saving box-like structure. Intended for temporary stay while travelling, this mobile home is fully automatic and ready to occupy. With double compartments, the Woonbox opens up into a sleek kitchen fitted with a built-in stove and sink on one side and appears to transform into a shower cum WC when viewed from the opposite side. Intelligently constructed and beautifully designed, the Woonbox even takes little necessities, such as space for hanging clothes, into consideration.

This prefabricated home-away-from-home manages to appear stylish with subdued colours and floral designs on the walls, and may be a boon for those looking for a cheap place to stay while on vacation. The only thing missing in the Woonbox is sleeping space, but this may not be a problem since you can always pack away a tent and sleeping bag on one of the many shelves provided and sleep under the stars.
