Mini Bar Side Table Designed by Leonard Pfeifer
Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 |Tags: bar, drinks, estonia, Leonard Pfeifer, Mini Bar Side Table, oak

A mini bar at home has become almost a requirement these days with the number of parties being held at personal residences, not to mention our own need for a nightcap with a visiting friend or alone in front of the TV. This mini bar side table has been designed by Leonard Pfeifer and is built with oak, MDF and natural veneer. This light brown piece with the darker edges appears both simplistic and stylish. The mini bar, made in Estonia, can easily be carried around to desired locations in the house since it is quite small, standing at just 23 inches.
The mini bar can be easily assembled such that the front opens up to create the side table giving you place to mix your drinks or keep them to be picked up a little later. The simple design ensures that you save space when you close the lid, and you can also store bottles and glasses within the mini bar. The mini bar side table is available at $450, which seems to be a bit too much for such a simple mini bar. Shipping charges would add another $10, which makes me wonder if the mini bar side table is worth the trouble.

Designer Jaime Hayon’s Champagne Piscine
Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 |Tags: Champagne, drinks, Jaime Hayon, lamshade, Piscine, red, Spain

Champagne lends you that light headed feeling that makes you feel really good and, in increased quantities, can put a silly grin on your face coupled with the ability to view the world in rose-tinted glasses. Add to this a great ambience and you’re on your way to having the best time of your life. Spanish designer, Jaime Hayon, seems to view the world, and champagne, with his own special pair of rose-tinted glasses. He lends the beautiful blend of art and red to every creation of his. The same goes with his latest, the Champagne bar.
Splashed with an extravagant amount of red, the Champagne bar is part of his Piscine collection. The Champagne bowl sits with several bottles of chilling Champagne. The stacks of glasses arranged alongside appear like drops of liquid rubies, frozen in suspended motion. Adding elegance to this decorative piece is the quilt-designed red lampshade. Everything in Hayon’s collection has haute couture engraved all over it.

Carrying a six-pack isn’t easy. When you’re busy watching your favourite ball game you need both your hands free to give your friends high-fives or punch the opposition. The Beer Belt has six plaster holsters of the perfect size to tuck in your cold beer bottles or cans. Made from Nylon, the Beer Belt is completely adjustable to size so you don’t have to worry about your love handles or your beer belly from guzzling down one too many.
The Beer Belt comes in a variety of colours and is currently priced at $18 which may seem a bit extravagant to some of you, but it’s almost a necessity to beer lovers! The belt appears to be great idea for new moms who have their hands full with bawling babies; just strap on the Beer Belt to hold six fresh feeding bottles so you don’t have to keep rushing to the kitchen to make a new one. And perhaps you can tuck in a beer for yourself. Just don’t mix up the bottles!

Mobile Bar by Isay Weinfeld
Monday, August 11th, 2008 |Tags: drinks, Furniture, Isay Weinfeld, Mobile Bar, wood

It becomes so difficult when you’re having a happening party at your house and every floor, basement, back porch and terrace is teeming with people who don’t want to go all the way to the one bar you’ve set up to get a fresh drink. Well, if they won’t go to the bar then the bar must come to them. This seems to be what was going through Brazilian designer Isay Weinfeld’s mind when he designed the Mobile Bar.
Much like a sophisticated version of a child’s wagon, the Mobile bar is a compact box that can easily be wheeled around to the desired location of high seekers. The white bar is made from wood and includes several racks that have their own specific functions meaning that every ingredient required for great and varied drinks can be kept here. It also has hidden compartments that can be pulled out, making it an efficient number for a space saving bar. The fashionable bar does not look very expensive so a few of them can be strolled around vantage points in a larger area.
