You’re working hard and working late, working crazy to finish that project on time. But your eyes have declared war over you and have decided that they don’t want to stay open. You wake up hours later and realise you had fallen asleep over your laptop.

If this is a familiar scenario with you, you need to get yourself the iSleep, and fast. The iSleep concept developed by German designer Ivonne Dippmann is a soft pillow that can be attached to your laptop. The iSleep works amazingly by filling itself with warm air when you fall asleep over your laptop, playing soothing music all the while. But an alarm goes off within ten minutes to ensure that you wake up and get back to work! iSleep uses the fan of the laptop to fill itself with air and this happens automatically the moment the laptop is closed; the music starts simultaneously. The alarm can also be individually adjusted so that you can sleep for longer if desired.

Here is how you could check out those girlie or hunkish pictures right in the middle of a restaurant or in a cafe and pretend you are working at something that is akin to rocket science. Compushade Laptop Visor will help you shield you laptop from 3 ways and mask your screen. It also allows you to see well in broad daylight and also in very brightly lit rooms. The accessory not only allows you to protect your privacy but also allows better clarity and vision.

The visor can be easily attached with the included adhesive-backed hook and loop fastener strips. You could use them with notebooks that measure 8 3/4″ - 16 1/4″ and it also folds flat on the back of your laptop. Now you can be pretty sure and comfortable that nobody is watching over you or that nobody is sniggering at the pictures you have been checking out.

In a bid to produce eco-friendly and bio-degradable products, designers are opting to create more and more goods from wood. And what can be better than bamboo when it comes to going au naturel? The use of bamboo has been incorporated into the making of so many products that it has become the style ingredient of today’s eco-conscious generation. It may have begun with bamboo chairs and bamboo tables but the reign of bamboo has moved on to high tech products like laptops in a design revolution.

The amazing flexibility that bamboo offers makes it an ideal type of wood to be used in the production of complexly shaped creations. The fact that it is lightweight and pleasant on the eye is just another bonus for the designers and the consumers of bamboo products. The esprit of bamboo is seen in the different products below which includes the spring chair by Anthony Marschak, veneer plates and cutlery from Branch, bamboo bowl from Dandi, bamboo plates and nesting baskets from Remodern, sushi table from Legnoart, bamboo laptop by Asus’ Ecobook and Becca stool by Marschak. The first picture is a chair designed by Remy Veenhuizen.
